In ancient Norse times, the Vikings celebrated solstice by making blots (or offerings). The feast of summer was called Midsumarblót.
We celebrate today’s longest day of the year with this unique Aquavit. Traditionally Caraway and/or Dill seed was used to make Aquavit but today most Aquavit is very much Caraway heavy. We thought let's drop the Caraway and make a special seasonal release with only Dill seed and lots of fresh Dill, add some Lemon peels and Raspberries to the still to craft this super fresh summer delight. Before bottling we add a pinch of salt and a slight infusion of our Arctic Gin – just to round things off.
